Work

I have been a broadcaster for every game in Carolina Panthers franchise history, dating back to 1995. I'm also the morning sports personality for WBT Radio in Charlotte, where I have been sports director for 29 years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2022. Additionally, I am the radio voice for East Carolina University football and some select basketball games.

I've also called the action for many national and regional college football & basketball games on TV and radio, have been the radio voice of Winthrop University, Charlotte 49ers and Davidson College, along with games for the Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte Knights, and more. Recently, I called the 2025 Duke's Mayo Bowl on national radio, hosted the Bronko Nagurski Awards on CBS Network and appeared in the film "The Mulligan" alongside Jim Nantz.

I grew up near Cleveland, OH as a fan of mediocre sports teams and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelors degree in Journalism.

My wife Sandra and I have raised a family of five kids in Charlotte, putting them through many fine college institutions around the great state of North Carolina, since we made it clear that we would not pay out-of-state tuition.

We are now parents to a pair of partially house-trained dogs named Gus & Hank. Our getaway spot is our villa on Seabrook Island, SC.  We love to golf, travel, and drink good red wine whenever I don't have a game.
