Work

I have been a broadcaster for every game in Carolina Panthers franchise history, dating back to 1995. I'm also the morning sports personality for WBT Radio in Charlotte, where I have been sports director for 29 years and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2022. Additionally, I am the radio voice for East Carolina University football and on the call for Winthrop University basketball.

I've also called the action for many national and regional college football & basketball games on TV and radio, have been the radio voice of the Charlotte 49ers and Davidson College Wildcats, along with games for the Charlotte Hornets, Charlotte Knights, and more. Recently, I hosted the Bronko Nagurski Awards on CBS Network and appeared in the film "The Mulligan" alongside Jim Nantz.

I grew up near Cleveland, OH as a fan of mediocre sports teams and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Journalism.  I have enjoyed instructing on sports journalism at Queens University and both the Carolina and Connecticut School of Broadcasting.

My wife Sandra and I have raised a family of five kids in Charlotte, putting them through many of the fine college institutions around the great state of North Carolina since they knew we would not pay out-of-state tuition.

We are now parents to a pair of partially house-trained dogs named Gus & Hank. Our getaway spot is our villa on Seabrook Island, SC.  We love to golf, travel, and drink good red wine whenever I don't have a game.
